Stop queue cutting at Causeway
I HAVE noticed an increasing number of ungracious drivers cutting queues at Woodlands Checkpoint. Inevitably, there is a queue of vehicles at the Causeway these days.

Instead of joining the queue, there is a group of Singapore drivers who drive beside the queue and try to squeeze in further up the line. The result is obvious. The queue moves even slower and a great deal of frustration ensues.

Is there any recourse against these queue cutters? If this is not addressed, I am convinced there will be an ugly incident.

Re-educating these ungracious drivers will be a long-drawn process. Stationing a Traffic Police officer beside the queue redress the situation. However, it should not be seen as a solution.

There is currently a divider that separates the motorcycle lane from that for other vehicles. If this divider was extended, it would address the problem somewhat.
