NTUC should start school bus fleet
I REFER to the recent discussion regarding the need for safe and safely driven school buses with proper seat belts to ferry school children, especially primary pupils.

Apart from the Government, there is probably only one organisation which is credible, public-spirited and financially capable enough for the task: the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC).

The NTUC should take the initiative in running a nationwide fleet of school buses at affordable cost for parents. It can employ retired drivers and housewives to take charge of picking children up and dropping them off where necessary.
