HFMD: What about enrichment centres?
DESPITE the fact that hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) is rampant, when I took my daughter to her art class at an enrichment centre and asked if staff would check her, the reply was that there was no need because it was an enrichment centre.

The authorities need to do something about this. There have been cases where parents did not notice the onset of HFMD and continued to take their children to enrichment classes where it could spread.

At the class, I noticed that aprons were not assigned, which means an apron worn by one child one week could well be worn by another the next.

Nothing had been disinfected. I have since stopped taking my daughter to the centre.
