Steps taken to clean up Serangoon stadium
I REFER to last Wednesday's letter, 'It's a stadium, not a playground' by Mr Christopher Teo.

We thank Mr Teo for his feedback and apologise for his experience at Serangoon stadium.

We have inspected the stadium and assure Mr Teo and the public that maintaining cleanliness and hygiene continues to be a top priority of the Singapore Sports Council (SSC). Currently, the grandstand area and toilets in the stadium are cleaned regularly. During high usage times such as on weekends, the frequency of toilet checks and cleaning is increased.

Meanwhile, there are signs around the stadium to remind the public that prams are not allowed on the running track. Our staff will continue to monitor the situation and provide guidance in using the fitness equipment during peak usage periods on weekday evenings and weekends.

SSC would like to urge the public to be more considerate to other users while enjoying the sports amenities.
