BOOK BORROWING MADE EASY
I WOULD like to say a big 'thank you' to the staff and management of the National Library Board (NLB), who have worked hard to make its services so convenient for users.
Among the many conveniences, I especially appreciate its Internet search facility for books' availability and locations, online book renewals and reservations, and the convenient locations of libraries across Singapore.

SERVICE WITH GOOD HUMOUR
I WOULD like to commend Mr Kinesh, a pump attendant at the Esso station in Jurong Kechil, for his exceptional service.
He displayed great humour and wit in the course of serving his customers and truly gave service from the heart. He ensured that customers drive away feeling happy.

DOCS LIFTED HIS SPIRITS
I WOULD like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to two outstanding doctors, Dr Foo Chek Siang and Dr Chen Chung Ming, and the nursing staff of Changi General Hospital, Ward 39, for taking such good care of me during my hospitalisation last month for an operation on my intestines.
The two doctors were very professional, and their care and concern lifted my spirits greatly.

STAFF'S FREEBIE A BIG HELP
I AM based in Shanghai and during my recent trip back to Singapore, I bought an espresso machine from IMM's Best Denki store. I later realised the machine needed regular cleaning using a descaling agent, and which I could not find in Shanghai. I went back to the store to get it, only to be told that it was available only at another outlet.
However, sales staff Wendy Lim, upon learning that I had to leave for Shanghai the next day, immediately offered me a pack of descaling agent from a display unit for free. Thank you very much.

NO MORE DIN, THANKS TO NEA
I LIVE next to a construction site in Bukit Timah Road, which had been keeping me awake at night with its loud noise during the night.
I finally made a call to the National Environment Agency and am impressed that the nightly construction noise has stopped. Thank you, NEA.
