Teachers, old boys keep ACS spirit alive
WHILE we recognise that Mr Tan Wah Thong has done a lot for the school during his 13-year term as chairman of the board of governors of ACS, I really don't think that any one man can 'Transform the ACS Brand' (April 2).

The reputation of ACS has never depended on academic results alone, although we have had much more than our fair share of brilliant scholars who have turned out to be men of stature in our society.

We owe much to our teachers who imparted to us more than just knowledge from textbooks; they also taught us how to be good responsible citizens. We owe much to the generations of ACS boys who have kept the spirit of ACS alive.

My grandson is the fourth generation in my family to study in my alma mater.
