DRIVER FINDS SEAT FOR PREGNANT WOMAN
ON JAN 17, I was on SBS service 48 heading to Bedok. I barely managed to squeeze on board and find a place to stand. The driver turned and asked me point blank: 'Are you pregnant?' I nodded as I was indeed seven months pregnant. He stopped the bus, stood up, announced that a heavily pregnant woman needed a seat and politely (but firmly) asked a passenger in the row beside the driver's seat to oblige.

WALLET RETURNED BY SMRT OFFICER

SMRT officer, had come all the way to my door by taxi to return my wallet.

DRIVER CONCERNED FOR HURT PASSENGER
I WAS on SBS service 31 on Feb 27 at about 5.30pm, when I lost my balance and fell. I landed heavily on the steps, head first and on my back. The driver immediately stopped the bus and came swiftly to my aid, as did several commuters. He asked if I needed to see a doctor. With the help of the commuters, he gently got me to my feet. When I alighted, he came up to me again and asked if I was all right.

PATIENT DRIVER WAITS FOR ELDERLY MAN
ON MARCH 14 at about 9am, I was waiting for a bus outside Our Lady Of Lourdes Church opposite Rochor Centre. Bus service 57 was moving out of the bus bay. An elderly Chinese man waved to the bus driver, who noticed, stopped and waited for him to board.

CABBY RETURNS LOST CELLPHONE
ON MARCH 24 at about 8.15am, I hailed a taxi at Bedok North Road. When I reached my destination, I carelessly left my cellphone on the back seat. I called my number and, to my surprise, the driver answered and politely asked me to wait at the taxi stand where I had alighted to retrieve my phone. Traffic was very congested, but the driver made a big detour with his 'On call' sign switched on so he would not have to pick up passengers.
Thank you, Mr Lee Tuck Seng of TransCab taxi No. SHC 5863.
