MR ALAN GOH, describing Singapore's taxi drivers' standards of driving, which he says stand in contrast to the generally strict driving test learners here must pass. There is a lack of skill, focus and concentration in their driving, he maintains. To improve road safety, he suggests that many of the cabbies should either re-sit their tests or be re-trained.
