I APPLAUD the move by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) to make adjustments to the new rule restricting taxis from picking up and dropping off passengers in the Central Business District (CBD).
By adopting a consultative approach to take feedback seriously and make changes when necessary, the LTA is moving in the right direction and setting a fine example for other government bodies to emulate.
Members of the Government Parliamentary Committee for Transport, Taxi Operators' Associations adviser Seng Han Thong and
representatives of taxi companies must be commended for bringing up the issue based on valuable feedback received from the ground.
