Six-year integrated programme: Do kids lose out on O levels?
RECENTLY, I came across a flier from the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) advertising an American university with course fees 60 per cent lower than in the United States. The entry requirement is five O-level credit passes for a number of Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science programmes which can be completed in three years.

This is not the first time I have seen this. I have come across a number of other similar advertisements by overseas universities offering five O levels as the entry requirements. A number of them are reputable universities.

Do students who are tied up in the six-year integrated programme (IP) lose out since they opt out of O levels? I would appreciate it if the authorities can explain as I have a son in the first year of the IP.
