AS SOME some roads will be closed or partially closed in the period leading up to the race, during race days, as well as after the race, there will be disruption to traffic in the vicinity of the track circuit. There may also be some access restrictions around the track circuit during race days.
We assure the public that government agencies, including the Land Transport Authority, Singapore Police Force and Singapore Tourism Board, are working closely with the race promoter, Singapore GP, to address these issues.
Information will be disseminated ahead of time to the public so alternative arrangements can be made. Government agencies are also in contact with stakeholders in the vicinity to work out issues of concern to them.
Singapore GP and government agencies working on this project have made it a priority to minimise inconvenience to the public and other stakeholders, even as we work towards making the world's first F1 night street circuit race a resounding success.
We seek the public's patience and understanding during this period, as we tackle the challenges of organising this race in the heart of Singapore's city centre.
