AS A motorcyclist who runs errands in the vicinity of Orchard Road, I have discovered that there is not a single commercial building there which provides parking for motorcycles.
The absence is common among commercial buildings in the city area as well.
What is a first-time motorcyclist supposed to do if he does not know that there are no parking facilities while running urgent errands in these areas?
If the errand is really urgent, the only choice available to him is to park illegally and risk a summons and a hefty fine.
If the errand can be delayed, he probably has to leave his motorcycle at home and use public transport to do his work.
Such a 'play-it-safe' decision will cost him time and productivity.
