I REFER to the letter, 'Three-minute review of lab test at SGH cost $60' by Mr Tay Kok Cheng (ST, Feb 6).
Patients who undergo investigative procedures are usually given a review appointment when the test is ordered to ensure there is no delay if follow-up treatment is required. Notwithstanding that Mr Tay's lab results were returned negative, the doctor would normally review the results with him and advise him on his subsequent management plan.
