SERVICE FROM THE HEART BY POLICE

I APPRECIATE the effort by the Singapore Police Force to enhance efficiency and service from the heart. Recently, I lost my wallet at a hawker centre and lodged a report at Bedok Police Station. After two days, I received a call from its administrative office that my wallet had been retrieved. The officer set a date and time to my convenience.

At the police station, officer Kiwi Ang greeted me with a big smile. After returning my wallet, he kindly advised me to keep it safe and make sure I would not lose it again.

THANKS TO CABBY WHO HELPED DAD

I WOULD like to thank the CityCab driver who stopped at the junction of MacPherson Road and Jalan Wangi on the afternoon of Dec 20 last year to help my 83-year-old father who had fallen and then took him home.

He was admitted to hospital, had an operation and is now recovering.

COSTLY CELLPHONE RETURNED BY CABBY

MY GRANDDAUGHTER and her mother took an SMRT cab home on the evening of Jan 20 but left a costly cellphone behind in the taxi.

I would like to thank taxi driver Jimmy Low Chong Kee for taking the trouble to return the phone.

LOST CARD REPLACED BY CITIBANK IN 6 HOURS

I WOULD like to thank Citibank for its fast and efficient service on Feb 3.

It started when I called the customer service line at 4am to report my lost credit card. The customer service officer picked up my call within minutes and filed a report. A while later, another officer called back to confirm the case and told me I would receive my card the same day. Before I could get some sleep, a courier knocked on my door at around 10am with my new Citibank credit card.
