Holding season parking ticket but can't find a slot
I AM writing regarding the lack of quality customer service at the HDB carparks department.

When I called the hotline on Monday to highlight the parking problem in my area, my call got passed like a baton and then cut off.

Officers just mumbled their names almost inaudibly when I asked for them. I believe the HDB can trace those recordings to verify the facts.

I am a season parking ticket holder in Bukit Ho Swee. Whenever I return home after 9pm, I cannot find any slot to park my car.

The red slots are fully taken up, some by vehicles without season parking tickets. And for vehicles with tickets, their validity cannot be ascertained as there are no dates on the discs.

Worst of all, even the white lots are taken up by vehicles without season parking tickets and parking coupons.

I have called the enforcement unit many times - the standard reply is that officers will be dispatched to check. But I have not seen anyone arrive, despite waiting for two hours on one occasion.

I then have to end up parking in a 'no parking' area. Drivers who arrive later just park in any available space, causing obstructions at times.

To top it all, I received a summons for doing just that one morning.

Can the authorities step up enforcement at night as the situation has become extremely frustrating?

I hope my letter will serve as a wake-up call to this department as there is no other way I can speak to an officer who is willing to help.
