HONEST CABBY RETURNED PHONE

I TOOK a Comfort taxi on Jan 10 and left my cellphone on the back seat. I called Comfort Lost and Found and the kind operator, Ms Jean Ho, located the taxi. I would like to thank Mr Tan Soo Peng of taxi SHC 1873 E for returning my phone promptly.

HELP FOR BROTHER FLUNG FROM BIKE

ON JAN 15 at about 9.30pm, my brother was in an accident at the junction of Tampines Avenue 2 and Street 11. He was flung about 50m from his bike after being knocked down by a drunk driver. A young man named Jeremy rushed to his aid. Jeremy made sure his condition was stabilised until the ambulance arrived. I would also like to thank the Changi General Hospital paramedics.

NEIGHBOURS CAME TO HIS AID

ON JAN 19 at about 9pm, I had an allergic reaction at Block 229 Serangoon Avenue 4 and suffered from rashes and blurred vision. Some neighbours and the cleaner in my block, Mr Habib Topazzal Hawlader, helped my mother call an ambulance, carried me to the side and propped me up against a wall. Some even went home to get me medicated oil.

LUCKY TO HAVE SUCH TEACHERS

WE ARE very grateful to all teachers in Unity Secondary School, especially Ms Lee Chien Chien, Mr Adiran Ng, Mrs Quah, Mr Kenny Toh, Ms Lee Fong Shai, Ms Patricia Koh, Mrs Mah Yan Li and Mrs Adeline Tan. Our daughter, Li Ling, who has lupus and is undergoing peritoneal dialysis, is blessed to have such understanding, caring and supportive teachers. They have dedicated their spare time to help and encourage her in life, and even tutored her at home and in hospital after school hours. With their encouragement, she did well in her O-level exams.

We would also like to thank Unity staff and Li Ling's classmates.
