IN THE ongoing upgrading works at Orchard MRT station, MRTC had sealed all the escape routes and rerouted commuters and pedestrians through one long route to the ground level.
In view of the heavy pedestrian traffic during the weekends, are there sufficient fire-escape routes in an emergency? I had highlighted this danger to the station master on Jan 18.
We do not need a tragedy to take place to learn how to take preemptive measures.
