I WOULD like to highlight the danger facing motorists using the stretch of road along East Coast Parkway (ECP) service road from the Seafood Centre to the last carpark before the Fort Road exit.
Every morning, I use this road to leisurely drive home.
However, many motorists have resorted to using this road to avoid the traffic jam along the ECP towards the city, especially if there has been an accident or heavy downpour in the morning.
They drive with no due concern and care for other road users. They overtake without signalling and speed even though the limit is 50kmh.
Sometimes, they even overtake until they almost collide into my car. To add to this, these motorists even flash their high beams at me as if to signal that I have to stop my car to let them cut back into their lanes.
I sincerely hope that this letter will alert the relevant authorities to take the appropriate actions to curb the madness.
The most dangerous time is about 7.30am to 9am.
