SHE HELPED MAID TO FLY BACK TO SEE AILING DAD

ON CHRISTMAS Eve, we had to arrange for my son's maid to fly to Manado to see her ailing father. All flights were fully booked, but Ms Shirley Wong of Safe2Travel managed to get her a seat on SilkAir for Dec29, and subsequently even for Dec28. Her efforts showed the true spirit of Christmas.

MANY CAME TO THE AID OF WOMAN WHO FAINTED

I WOULD like to thank the people who helped my wife when she fainted at Yum Cha Restaurant in Chinatown on Dec30. A Caucasian couple went to her aid, and the restaurant staff offered her drinks and a quiet office to recover.

KUDOS TO TWO DEDICATED TEACHERS

I WOULD like to thank Miss Chiam Lee Lee of Chua Chu Kang Primary School for her dedication and creative way of teaching, which helped my daughter attain a merit for her Higher Mother Tongue in her PSLE. I would also like to thank Miss Sim Ing Eng, her Primary 5 form teacher, for giving her a good foundation.

HE MADE SURE 'SPECIAL' CAKE WAS BAKED TO ORDER

WE CELEBRATED my daughter's birthday recently. For medical reasons, she can eat only freshly baked cakes, which cannot contain certain ingredients. I would like to thank Mr Jonathan Cheah of Polar Puffs and Cakes for personally monitoring this order.
