A few years back, I inquired and was told that the pits were for the exclusive use of residents in Rivervale View. However, they are clearly under-used as I have observed over the years.

Recently, I called the Horizon Residents Committee to ask about booking the pits and was happy to learn they have now been opened to residents in selected precincts outside Rivervale View. Unfortunately, even though I live nearby, my block is not eligible.

I hope the authorities can clarify the criteria on the use of the pits. It is a waste of taxpayers' money to build a public facility that is under-used but not open it to parties who are willing to pay for and support its use.
