PRINT EDITION LETTERS
I REFER to last Friday's commentary by Ms Li Xueying, 'Take the scare out of saying something wrong'. Ms Li suggested many view civil service efforts to solicit feedback from the public as mere public relations exercises.
I REFER to the letters last Thursday, 'Readers' hunt for an ideal reply' and Ms Li Xue-ying's timely commentary on Friday, 'Take the scare out of saying something wrong'.
I NOTE the point made by Mr Heng Cho Choon in his letter, 'Really, do people like junk mail?' (May 22).
PLEASE refer to Ms Jennifer Chan's letter last Thursday, 'Excuse me, MOM, but here's why I wrote in publicly'. The answer to Ms Chan's query on the responsibility of employers was stated in both MOM's reply to her e-mail, as well as in paragraph two of MOM's reply to her letter published on May 24.
I REFER to Mr Ho Kai Meng's letter last Wednesday, 'Where is the logic?', on a discrepancy between MRT and LRT fare charges.
I REFER to Mr David Choo's letter on Saturday, 'Subsidised job listings for older workers'. I agree.
I AM one of the ordinary citizens simmering over the way Dr Chee Soon Juan and his sister Ms Chee Siok Chin have tried to embarrass Singapore by going out of their way to raise their reputations at the expense of the country's.
I REFER to the letter, 'Upgraded Chinatown market felt like a furnace' by Ms Julie Chia (May 24).
'SMRT, keep up the good work.'
ONLINE LETTERS
WE REFER to Mr Ace Kindred Cheong's online letter yesterday, 'Shark's fins menu: Why the double standards?', penned in response to Resorts World at Sentosa's (RWS) decision not to have shark's fin on the menu when we open in 2010.
I REFER to Mr Rajasegaran Ramasamy's letter on Saturday on the issue of teachers not needing to pay for parking in schools. There are several reasons - technical and social - as to why teachers should not need to pay for parking in schools.
I REFER to Mr Rajasegaran Ramasamy's letter, 'Why are teachers allowed to park for free at their place of work?'
I REFER to Mr Kamar Lim's letter, 'Zoo, Night Safari to lower their charges' (May 23), Mrs Ng Shien's letter, 'Zoo didn't address high prices, long queues' (May 27) and Mr Steve Tan's letter, 'Drop the adversarial approach, be nice even if you think you're right' (May 29).
I REFER to Ms Isabel Cheng's letter, 'Buy value packages to save money at zoo, Night Safari' (May 25) and Mr Shawn Koh's letter, 'All in all, the zoo is good value for money' (May 30).
I WISH to share my experience with Star Cruise Aquarius. I went on a one-night Cruise To Nowhere last Thursday and was disappointed with the experience.
