PRINT EDITION LETTERS
NOW the International Court of Justice has made its ruling on Pedra Branca, I am sure there will be no shortage of 'experts', 'analysts', 'patriots' and so on, who will take every opportunity to voice their opinion in public.
I REFER to last Tuesday's article, 'DBS should include smaller investors when raising funds'.
I WRITE in displeasure and disgust at what greeted me at my doorstep last Thursday morning: a stench of overnight urination.
|
I REFER to last Thursday's letter, 'Really, do people like junk mail?' by Mr Heng Cho Choon.
AN EXPERIENCED maid called an agency and was told she would be charged four months' wages to be assigned to an employer in Singapore.
I READ last Thursday's article, 'Carrying the torch', with interest. It appears Mr Michael Fullilove lumps all 'overseas Chinese' together with no explanation as to who they are. The 10,000 Chinese bussed to Canberra from Sydney and Melbourne to counter pro-Tibet independence protesters appear to be China students studying in Australia, similar to those China students who threw bottles in Seoul.
I REFER to the letter, 'Universities should be clearer about entry criteria' by Mr Patrick Sio (May 16).

ONLINE LETTERS
I REFER to the letter, 'It's Singapore, serve us in English first, please' (May 3).
I REFER to the letter, 'Crowded swimming pool a hazard to learners' (May 13). I could not agreed more with Mr Andrew Lee Wei's observation.
I REFER to the letter, 'Safeguard dignity of elderly workers' (May 18). In it, Mr Tristan Gwee says 'it is a shame the elderly have to do such jobs in their golden years'. I disagree.
|
I REFER to Mr Sim Boon Yuan's feedback last Tuesday, 'Romance punctured: Singapore Flyer'.
I TOOK my N81 phone for repair at Nokia Service Centre at Century Square on April 22 and was told they would call once it was ready. I already had a problem with the phone and now I have a problem with Nokia Service Centre.
