I WOULD like to share my experience on one aspect of what led to higher medical costs at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) on Dec 10.
I REFER to the letter, 'Where have all the flowers gone?' by Mr Anthony Yeo (ST, Jan 12), and would like to add some thoughts of my own.
'NO ONE needs to go hungry in Singapore,' wrote Mr Kevin Shum, ComCare and social support division director at the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports ('Helping the needy not just about financial aid'; ST, Jan 31).
INSTEAD of punitive measures such as higher Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) charges, wider ERP coverage, I wonder if the Land Transport Authority (LTA) has considered or has the scope to adopt a more holistic approach in easing traffic congestion.
I WOULD like the Ministry of Education (MOE) to clarify the use of Edusave funds by schools.
I REFER to Ms Chan Pei Ying's letter, 'Why stop concession for students at age 18?' (ST, Jan 31).
I REFER to Ms Lee Yuet Lai's letter, 'Are checks made on TCM products sold here?' (ST, Jan 30).
WITH regard to the letter, 'Are checks made on TCM products sold here?' by Ms Lee Yuet Lai (ST, Jan 30), allow me to share my understanding of this matter:
ONLINE LETTERS
I CONCUR with Mr Tan Hee Teck's comment that the 'Fourth varsity must produce grads with soft skills' (ST, Jan 26).
IS PUTTING stray cats to sleep the best way to curb their population?
I REFER to the report, 'Two polytechnic buddies die in late night crash' (ST, Jan 31).
ON FEB 1, I received a visit from a few representatives of the West Coast Ayer Rajah Town Council.
I REFER to the letter, 'Road hogging a bigger problem than tailgating'.
AN UNFORTUNATE incident happened to my 19-year-old sister when she tried to buy a second-hand motorcycle.
I REFER to the report, 'Plans for new group to lift standards of housing agents' (ST, Feb 4), in the face of rising complaints against rogue agents.
I AM concerned over our local banks' procedure on telegraphic transfers.
