PRINT EDITION LETTERS
WHILE recognising that we are fortunate in having a law-abiding society in Singapore, I wonder what has happened to our policemen, who seem to have become invisible.
I REFER to recent reports on the deaths of motorcyclists. As always with any death it is sad to see a life taken away too soon.
I AGREE fully with the writer of the letter, 'Help motorists not to beat the red light' (ST, Jan 26), on the point of checking regularly that the amber-light period is sufficient for the length of the intersection.
I READ with great interest the planned revamp of Singapore's public-transport system, and the formation of an inter-ministerial committee on sustainable development.
AMID efforts to conserve energy and save the planet, I wonder whether there is a need for petrol stations to open 24 hours.
AFTER reading a review in The Straits Times, I went to see the film Sharkwater. The film is amazing and an eye- opener.
I VISITED Changi Airport's new Terminal 3 recently. At the viewing mall, I was greeted by my reflections from two walls of glass panels - one separating visitors from the transit lounge and the other separating the lounge from the airside.
IN THE light of the recent rise in prices of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) products due to shortage of supply from China, I would like to raise a concern.
ONLINE LETTERS
FEW Singaporeans remember the bombing of the MacDonald House in Singapore which took two lives and injured 33 in early 1965.
AS A person who has met Mr Suharto on a professional basis, I would like to set the record straight and give some insights into the man.
IN RECENT weeks, we have read many comments and opinions on our education system. These were brought up during our current affairs discussion in our General Paper class. Here are some lessons we would like to share.
I RECENTLY received my OCBC Titanium Card statement dated Jan 20, and noticed that the due date was Feb 6.
ON MAY 30 last year, the UOBkayhian website had information on one of the top losers' stocks wrongly represented.
IT'S TIME to stand up to plumbers who overcharge.
I AM disappointed with the service rendered to me and my family by McDonalds.
IS THE role of a Sentosa Ranger to ensure that 'traffic flow is smooth and that vehicles do not obstruct our roads'' or is it to lie in wait before slapping motorists with summonses?
I WOULD like to express my sincere gratitude to Channel 5 for telecasting the Australian Open Grand Slam finals.
