PRINT EDITION LETTERS
I REFER to the article, 'Are 11-year-olds ready for training?' (ST, Jan 4). As someone who is determined to forge a career in the sports industry, I am happy to note that the Government has put in an increased amount of resources and introduced various schemes to boost the development of sports in Singapore in recent years.
I WOULD like to ponder the potential influence of intrinsic value of area (IV) as a 'currency' to deal with a myriad of problems in collective sales.
THE article, 'Inflation in '08: Mild cold or high fever?' (ST, Jan 5) highlighted the difficulties households face with increases in the cost of living but omitted two significant points.
I REFER to the letter, 'Some cabs still display old fares', by Mr Ho Tze Foong (ST, Jan 5).
I REFER to the articles, 'Fourth M in medical care: Means testing' and 'Most view proposal as fair, but air concerns about criteria' (ST, Jan 9).
AFTER much fanfare and many 'oohs' and 'ahs' from visitors at the opening of Changi Airport's Terminal 3 (T3), one question needs to be asked: Is T3 an architectural achievement but a commercial failure?
I REFER to Mr Lee Le Tian's letter '3 months too long for medical report' (ST, Jan 5).
WE REFER to the letters, 'Chance at O levels ruined by Girls' Home' by Mr Jeya Pragasam Raj (ST, Jan 1) and 'Girls' Home didn't do enough for girl's future' by Miss Rajeswari Gunalan (ST, Jan 7).
ONLINE LETTERS
I REFER to the report, 'Most view proposal as fair but air concerns about criteria' (ST, Jan 9).
I REFER to the various comments made on means testing in hospitals.
I REFER to the report, 'Charting a new path in education' (ST, Jan 8).
I REFER to the report, 'Animals with human DNA: Ethics body invites debate' (ST, Jan 9).
I REFER to the letters on MRT signs in Malay (ST, Dec 29 and Jan 9).
I WAS pleasantly surprised to read the letter, 'Who pays for damage caused by fallen branch?' (ST, Jan 9), in which Mr C. S. Mahadevan asserted that the National Parks Board (NParks) should be pinned with liability for the damage caused to his car by a fallen branch.
I REFER to the letter, 'Unfair to be billed for unanswered calls' (Online Forum, Jan 9) by Ms Moo Mee Koon.
