THE recent sale of City View@Boon Keng has brought property prices to a new level. It seems the prices offered are cheaper than other private properties in the area. However, one question that needs to be asked is whether this is an HDB property or a private one. All reports have labelled it HDB, but are these HDB prices?
I REFER to the letter, 'Are hygiene standards going down the toilet?' (ST, Dec 24).
THE manner in which the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) has dealt with the Noh Alam Shah-Daniel Bennett incident is disturbing.

I LIKE what I read in Saturday's inspiring report on national football coach Raddy Avramovic's constructive approach to the recent Noh Alam Shah issue ('Alam Shah set for World Cup qualifiers'; ST, Jan 5).
I REFER to the latest moves by the Ministry of Education on the professional development of teachers. I applaud the enhancement of various lucrative packages offered to teachers.
I RECEIVED a letter from the Land Transport Authority (LTA) advising me of a revision of open market value on my de-registered vehicle scrapped more than four years ago to buy a new car.
I REFER to Mr Paul Krugman's article, 'The bottom line is China' (ST, Jan 5). Mr Krugman lamented that the current crop of United States presidential candidates has put too much focus on Sept 11 and the quagmire in Iraq. That, to him, is a misplaced focus. He argued that more attention in American foreign policy should be given to the rising power and influence of China.
I REFER to the letter, 'Telco couldn't handle holiday mobile surge', by Mr Dennis Ng Kok Kee (ST, Jan 4).

WHILE reading the report, 'Baby School' (ST, Dec 30), I recalled my childhood days which I value till today.
I SHARE the view of Mr Paul Chan Poh Hoi in the letter, 'Flaws likely if en bloc choice left to owners' (Online Forum, Jan 5).
I REFER to the report, 'Are 11-year-olds ready for training?' (ST, Jan 4), which raised several concerns about promoting specialised sports training at such a young age.

I AGREE with the view that sporting arena must not be turned into a battlefield where only winning counts after reading the report, 'Sports should never come to life and death' (The Sunday Times, Jan 6).
AS CHANGI'S T3 opens its gates today to the world, it will undoubtedly set new benchmarks of comfort and convenience for commuters.
I WOULD like to compliment Dr Lim Chee Kong, head of Hougang Polyclinic, for his sympathy for walk-in patients at the Family Physician (FP) Clinic on Jan 3.
IT IS is indeed disturbing to see that after so many years of anti-litter campaigns and the prosecution of offenders, littering continues to be an issue in our society (Litter bugs the island, Record number of litterbugs nabbed; ST Dec 31).
I REFER to the letter, 'Telco couldn't handle holiday mobile surge' by Mr Dennis Ng Kok Kee (ST Forum, Jan 4).
