I READ with great interest comments made on the learning of Chinese in schools. In her letters, Madam Jocelyn Lim Chieh Ying raises pertinent issues which highlight the difficulties students face and makes a call for a much- needed review of the 'criteria of mother tongue proficiency as a requisite and determinant for progress in our education system' ('Place less store by mother tongue results', ST, July 18; and 'Review mother tongue as success path in school', ST, July 30).

ALL government organisations, agencies and statutory boards have a quality service department headed by a quality service manager (QSM). And members of the public can give feedback on service standards to the organisation via the QSM line.

WITH Singapore a Little Red Dot, land is at the same time scarce and precious.

WELL, I guess no one can deny the usefulness of the ez-link card, but how harmful is it to one's integrity? Well, let me share some things I have observed.
