I REFER to recent reports of taxi drivers refusing $50 notes. Surely this is not surprising.
I always make it a point to have $10 notes when taking a taxi. I have also had $50 notes refused in other places. The problem is compounded by ATMs sometimes running out of $10 notes.
One solution is to put more $20 notes in circulation. This will, hopefully, lessen the burden of having to find change for the big notes.
