Long walk to computer course for the elderly
I ACCOMPANIED a friend to register for the Chinese Development Assistance Council (CDAC) sponsored basic computer course for senior citizens conducted by SAGE-CDAC IT Centre at Toa Payoh West. There is no bus service there and it is quite a distance, about 300m, to walk from Lorong 1 Toa Payoh.

There is also no shelter along the pedestrian footpath and it takes a lot of effort for many weak and feeble senior citizens to walk to the centre on a hot or raining day with an umbrella. Perhaps CDAC should consider relocating to a more friendly and convenient venue to encourage more senior citizens to sign up.
