WE REFER to the online letter by Mr Chua Han Yi, 'How can McDonald's be overwhelmed by orders at 4am?' (March 4). We would like to thank the writer for his feedback.
In this instance, we have found that the Jurong area received a sudden and unexpected surge of new orders at around the time Mr Chua called our McDelivery 24/7 hotline to place an order. While every effort has been made to allocate sufficient resources to our McDelivery 24/7 service, we regret that new orders may have to be temporarily halted when there is overwhelming demand. This is done so that we can ensure the quality, freshness and timeliness of our deliveries, while ensuring the safety of our McDelivery 24/7 riders is not compromised. We are typically able to resume regular service within 30 to 45 minutes.
