How to make CCK MRT Exchange more friendly for users
THE renovation at CCK MRT Exchange is almost completed. However, I wish to highlight that the path coming from the CCK Bus Interchange has been made too narrow and passengers alighting from the feeder buses have to queue to climb up the flight of steps into the Exchange. This is a challenge, especially during peak hours when some are rushing and some are taking their own sweet time and some are elderly who really cannot move fast.
The Post Box is located at the other side of the Exchange. We have to specially make a detour to the Northvale path side to post our letters. This is not user- friendly as we have to go back up the flight of steps into the Exchange to continue our journey into the Lot 1 Shopping Centre or into the MRT station.
My suggestions are: Cover the open drain between the two flight of steps; link the flight of steps into the Exchange to the other side to eliminate congestion and relocate the mailbox to a more convenient location.
