WE WERE at United Square on Sunday when we chanced upon a 'meet and greet the characters' session for the upcoming Disney On Ice show.
Noticing that my 14-month-old son was excited and happy upon seeing the characters, my wife and I decided to queue up to meet the characters. As there was only a short queue, we quickly reached the stage area.
The lady in charge refused to let my son meet the characters because we did not have a pass. The pass was a piece of yellow paper given out supposedly by the mall. I looked around and there was no one else in line, and the characters were still on stage greeting people. She then signalled to the crew and ended the session.
The organisers of the event could have exercised some flexibility and allowed my son to meet Mickey and Minnie. In the end, my son and another girl from another family in front of us had to walk away dissapointed.
