I RECENTLY signed up for SingTel's mio plan which comprises a local line, broadband and also a new mobile line.
And horror of horrors, I found out that it had given out the same telephone number to two different users and households. I received many calls looking for someone else during the first two weeks of installation.
The same thing was happening to the other user who had the same number. The user called me and wondered who should be footing the bill. Apparently, the number was registered under the name of the other user.
After calling the mio support hotline at least five times, someone finally attended to me and informed me that it was a mistake and that it would digitally change me to a new number. I tried it out that day and it was fine so I thought the matter had been resolved.
But the next day, the line could not be used. I could not call out at all.
I called the hotline for help and the staff there kept telling me that they would get someone to call me back to help me out.
It has been more than a week and no one has called me back to help me or solve the problem.
