MY HUSBAND bought me a spa package as an anniversary present in January 2007 from True Spa, having been impressed by the facilities and promises of excellent service from the spa consultant who sold him the package.
To my great dismay, True Spa has made it next to impossible for me to utilise its services.
Even though the contract agreement states that members have to book their treatments three days in advance, the spa is unable to confirm an appointment even when I call a week ahead of time. Instead, its appointment counter would tell me to await its call back which never happens.
Having encountered this difficulty several times, I confronted the management which replied that appointments have to be made one month in advance, a clear breach of the original contract.
I urge the public to exercise caution when considering purchases of such spa packages; and to request that the relevant authorities investigate such unfair practices by spa establishments which enrol members but fail to meet basic service obligations.
