Dog walkers should be more considerate and clear the poo of their pets
GRACIOUS society? We need to begin with the basics.

My lament starts with a subject close to our homes. There are many dog owners/lovers among us. Most are responsible but, alas, the actions of some leave a bad stink behind.

I have seen 'dog-walkers' diligently picking up poo after their pooches but I am also a 'victim' of the inconsiderate behaviour of some. Such people think nothing of soiling common property and areas outside their neighbours' home and walking away nonchalantly, quite satisfied that it is not their own garden they have to clear.

I have had the misfortune of rolling over a big mess left just outside my driveway under the canopy of darkness. Imagine my horror when I got out of my car and was confronted with this foul odour and poo all over my driveway and porch! And that was not the first nor last time.

My plea is simple: Have a heart for your fellow residents and teach your 'dog-walkers' (sometimes foreign maids) to do likewise. I witnessed a maid walking away from the poo with a wad of newspaper she was carrying still rolled in one hand.
