We thank Ms Ng for alerting her condominium management, whose swift response enabled us to lock the masterdoor immediately. We have also thanked her condominium management and apologised for this incident.

Our investigations revealed that the masterdoor latch was not securely locked by the postman after his mail delivery that day.

Although this was a rare incident, we acknowledge that this is a serious service lapse.

We have reprimanded the postman and will be monitoring his performance closely to prevent any recurrences.

Our postmen are generally known for their dedicated and meticulous service, and we wish to assure all readers that their commitment to their important role in preserving mail integrity and security - by ensuring that all letterboxes are locked up properly after each delivery - has been reinforced.
