Why are we being asked to donate to the rich?
I REFER to the Dove self-esteem fund.

I find that it is a plea for the public to make donations to the rich.

Based on the human pyramid of needs, the lowest in the pyramid are the category of people who only ask for food and water.

For these people, they are in a state of extreme poverty, suffering from hunger and thirst and may drop dead anytime due to lack of food and water.

For this group of people, they would not yearn for beauty nor self-esteem; all they would yearn for is food and water.

And up the pyramid, when this group of people have fulfilled their basic needs as in they already have a sufficient stable supply of food and water, they would yearn for a basic proper accommodation.

Still, this group of people are below the group who yearn for beauty and self-esteem. After the group fulfils their basic accommodation needs, they would yearn for money as in a stable job with stable income. After they fulfil these needs, they would then think of love, beauty and self-esteem.

The question is: Why is Dove seeking donations on behalf of those groups who are already rather high up in the pyramid from a society that is made up of all kinds, including many who are still at the lowest or few lowest categories of the pyramid?
