Is it Courts' company policy that items purchased cannot be delivered to another address?
ON JUNE 22, I brought my family together with my parents to visit the new Courts at Tampines WRS as we live in the west and would like my parents to take a look at this new concept.

As I've noticed that lines are appearing on the screen of my parents' television set, I thought that it would be a perfect gift for my father on Father's Day.

So, my father and I browsed around and decided to buy a new LCD TV. Upon registering with the salesperson there, I informed him that I would be paying by its new Credit Access credit card and delivery will be to my father's address.

Upon hearing this, the salesman said that it was not possible as it was against company policy to have the items purchased sent to a different address.

Feeling amused, I questioned him why again. He replied that his company was afraid that the IC I was holding was a stolen one and that I was using it to make purchases.

Feeling a bit annoyed and angry, I asked him what he needed me to do to prove that the IC belongs to me and the gentleman sitting beside me is my biological father.

Does he need to look at my birth certificate to prove that?

The salesman, thinking that nobody would carry around their birth certificate, quickly answered in a cocky way that it would be good if I had my birth certificate with me to prove it.

I then rushed to my car to get my birth certificate to show it to him. Sensing that I did have my birth certificate with me, he quickly changed his tone and said that it was still not possible as it was still against company policy.

Is it Courts' company policy that items purchased cannot be delivered to another address?
