LOGISTICS company YCH Group is planning aggressive growth in Asia with the help of a newly-expanded senior management team.

It is focusing on India, China, Korea and Indonesia, which are expected 'to provide vast opportunities for logistics and supply chain management as next engines of growth'.

Mr Sujit Varma and Mr Goh Yong Seng are taking on the newly-created roles of chief executives of YCH India and YCH China respectively, overseeing the development of the logistics and supply chain functions in those markets.

YCH's operations in India began in 2006 with Dell. The group overcame the initial infrastructural problems and is set for further expansion.

Mr Varma said: 'We also had a good amount of localisation (in India) by hiring the right kind of experience, and we brought technology in that wasn't already there so that we could increase productivity.'
