ONCE you've seen one action epic, you've basically seen them all. Three Kingdoms tries to contemporise the genre, but still stay true to its box-office formulas. This half-hearted tweaking of the conventions succeeds only fitfully.

CHASTE high school student Dawn (Jess Weixler), a staunch practising virgin, goes around as an officially sanctioned counsellor of Doris Day purity to advise hordes of schoolmates to save it for the wedding night.
