TEHERAN - IRAN'S Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki warned on Monday of 'serious consequences' if the UN Security Council adopted fresh sanctions against Iran for its refusal to halt sensitive nuclear work.
'If a resolution is passed ... it will have serious and logical consequences and we will announce it later,' Mr Mottaki told a press conference.
Foreign ministers of the five veto-wielding permanent members of the Security Council - Britain, China, France, Russia and the United States - plus Germany agreed on a new set of sanctions last week.
