MOSQUES in Singapore launched a donation drive on Friday for the cyclone victims of Myanmar where more than 22,000 people were killed, 40,000 are missing and hundreds of thousands are in need of immediate aid following the disaster last Saturday.
The announcement of the donation campaign was made by mosque officials during the Friday sermon at the 69 mosques on the island.
The campaign would be handled by the Singapore Islamic Religious Council. -- BERNAMA
