RESCUE workers have freed a construction worker, who was pinned under a glass panel for more than two hours in a freak accident on Monday.

Police said there were two workers involved in the industrial accident at the construction site at Lowland Road for a new condominium, Duchess Development.

A glass panel inside a container at the side fell onto the two men who were inside at the time. One of them suffered cuts and bruises and taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH).

However, his colleague, a 41-year-old Chinese national, was trapped under the glass panel for two and a half hour before rescuers freed him.

He suffered an open fracture to his right arm and scratches on his body. He was also taken to TTSH and was conscious after being rescued.
