The man who died after being stabbed to death at a Jalan Kukoh hawker centre on Thursday was cremated on Sunday morning.

The murder suspect, Lim Bock Song, was later gunned down by a police officer at Outram Park MRT station after he tried to attack the officer.

Led by a Taoist priest, relatives of odd-job worker Tan Ah Chong took part in a rite performed around 7am at the scene of his stabbing.

Family members of the 52-year-old then headed for the mortuary to claim his body before the cremation at the Bright Hill Temple.
