STI 3.06% higher at closing
Singapore stocks rose with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 88.32 points, or 3.06 per cent, to 2,978.98, at closing.
Around 1.4 billion shares exchanged hands. Gainers beat losers 442 to 163.
