TOKYO - JAPANESE share prices closed up 0.82 per cent on Thursday after a late rally as bargain hunters emerged after the previous day's sharp fall, dealers said.
The Tokyo Stock Exchange's benchmark Nikkei-225 index gained 107.91 points to 13,207.15, a day after tumbling by some 646 points.
The broader Topix index of all first-section shares climbed 6.67 points or 0.51 per cent to 1,305.08. -- AFP
