PARIS - THE trader alleged to have cost French Bank Societe General 4.9 billion euros in unauthorised financial deals was being questioned in police custody on Saturday, a judicial source said.
Jerome Kerviel arrived in a car at the headquarters of the Paris police's financial brigade around 2pm (1300 GMT), after dropping out of sight since the bank announced its colossal losses on Thursday.
The financial police had searched his apartment in the Paris suburbs on Friday and also taken possession of computer and other material at the bank's headquarters.
