Body of man pulled from Kallang River

A body of a Chinese man in his late 50s, dressed in a white polo T-shirt and dark blue pants was hauled out of the Kallang River at about 8.30am. -- ST PHOTOS: WANG HUI FEN

Workers from the National Environmental Agency (NEA) found a body floating along Kallang River on Friday morning. They were carrying out cleanup operations along the river, when they discovered a man?s body floating in the river at about 8.30 am.

The man, a Chinese in his late 50s, was dressed in a white polo T-shirt and dark blue pants. The workers attempted to resuscitate the man, but gave up when they realised he was dead. He was pronounced dead at 9am by paramedics, and the body was removed by undertakers at 11.20am.

Police are still investigating the case as unnatural death. Anyone with information can contact the police at 1800-255-0000.
