I REFER to the Insight interview with National Development Minister Mah Bow Tan ('HDB neighbours from hell? This minister knows all about it', June 27).
THE HDB requires home owners who sell their flat and buy another new one, to pay a $40,000 resale levy.
I AM confused and annoyed by policies affecting car ownership in Singapore. As a motorist, I am of the view that there are more and more cars on the roads nowadays, so the Government has to set up more Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) gantries and raise ERP rates to control traffic.

The COI's recommendations
The Government has accepted a slew of recommendations put forth by the Committee of Inquiry (COI). Among them - centralising the command and control of the Whitley Road detention centre under the Internal Security Department and building a new detention facility in Changi Prison for political detainees.
