IT'S official - three down, one to go. Singapore will be going head to head with Moscow to win the right to host the 2010 Youth Olympics. AS SOMEONE who spends two-thirds of my time in London, teaching as a professor of intellectual property (IP) law at King's College and practising as an IP solicitor, and the remainder mostly in Singapore but also elsewhere in Asia (in my capacity as external director of IP Academy Singapore), I read with interest the Review article on Monday, 'Success makes it a scapegoat'.

Mas Selamat: Here's how he escaped

The COI's recommendations
The Government has accepted a slew of recommendations put forth by the Committee of Inquiry (COI). Among them - centralising the command and control of the Whitley Road detention centre under the Internal Security Department and building a new detention facility in Changi Prison for political detainees.
